Term 2
Welcome back!
We hope everyone had a lovely break. This term we are exploring and learning all about celebrations and festivals.
W/C- 31st October (Halloween and Bonfire night)
This week we had fun on our spooky day, we came to school dressed up and made chocolate witches hats.
We have explored pumpkins, we craved them, looked inside and used pens to mark make.
We have created fireworks using pipe cleaners and beads.
We also read the story "Room on the Broom" and spent time every day in art creating our own brooms. Check out the finished look, we had so much fun!

W/C- 7th November
This week we have been exploring and learning all about Remembrance Day. We have explored poppies through videos, art and messing play.
We are currently making individual poppy wreaths using a range of materials.
We have also started engaging in short phrase one phonic sessions. We have listened to sounds we might find around our homes. We have enjoyed these games!

W/C- 14th November
This week we have celebrated national nursery rhyme and maths week. We have sung lots of nursey rhymes, created lots of art, enjoyed marking making and writing numbers. We have also enjoyed celebrating Children in Need and taking turns with each other.
Great job everyone!

W/C- 21st November
This week we explored the story 'The Leaf Thief'. We learnt all about the seasons changing and the squrriel's favourite food. From this we discussed healthy eating, sorting foods into healthy and treats. We also explored the immersive room and had lots of fun!

W/C- 28th November
This week we explored 'The Guffalo', we made our own Guffalo faces and enjoyed listening to the story. We also had a magical surprise from a very cheeky elf named Twinkle who is staying with us until the Chrismas holidays!

W/C- 5th December
Christmas is in full swing in Bonnello class, we have been creating a class Christmas tree from boxes! We have enjoyed using various materials to decorate it. We have also made snowman biscuits, we listened carefully to instructions and created our master pieces from marshmallows, biscuits and icing sugar.

W/C- 12th December
In our final week at school before the Christmas holidays we have enjoyed the opportunity to write a letter to Father Christmas. We were sent our own personal letter box from the North Pole! We also enjoyed our Christmas dinner, playing bingo and meeting Father Christmas himself!
From the children and staff in Bonnello, we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
