Week 2
We have had a super week! So this week we have continued to focus on the story of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.' We have taken part in a lot of different activities to celebrate this fantastic story!
On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day so Andersen class started the day with making some 'Wonka Chocolate.' They then melted some skittles to make a super pattern. We then took a rest from the factory work and did some super PE with Jacob.
After PE, we took part in Attention Autism and we did some super listening and used our attention skills to watch an Oompa Loompa make an exploding drink. The children absolutely loved this and they all engaged in this activity. After all this hard work we enjoyed our lunch.
After lunch, we opened up all the Year 1 classrooms and we explored all the rooms. Dickenson class were the bubble room, Bonello class were the TV room and of course Andersen Class were the chocolate room! The children loved free flowing between the different rooms and did some great activities in the rooms to celebrate our story.
I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of the whole of year 1, they all did so well today and they definitely all got into character of eating chocolate!
